Farm Resources 

The Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Program has been designed to give producers the opportunity to be trained in best management practices to ensure proper animal care on the farm to provide a safe, wholesome, quality beef product for the consumer, our customer, to enjoy! 

The Pennsylvania Beef Council organizes the PA BQA Program for farmers raising cattle in PA. 

A newly developed Informational Infographic addressing beef processing and direct marketing has been developed for producers within the state of Pennsylvania.  

The New York Beef Council organizes the NY BQA Program for farmers raising cattle in NY. 

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association, a contractor to the Beef Checkoff Program organizes the National BQA Program for farmers raising cattle all around the country.

This Checkoff-funded online training program is designed to help give you the latest information, research and consumer insights on beef. There are four educational components to Beef U:

  • The Modern Consumer 


Masters of Beef advocacy (MBA) 

This is a Checkoff-funded self-directed online training program is designed to equip you, a beef producer, with the information needed to be everyday advocates for the beef industry. MBA students will be required to complete five courses in beef advocacy, including:

  • The Beef Community
  • Raising Cattle on Grass
  • Life in the Feedyard
  • From Cattle to Beef
  • Beef. It's What's For Dinner
