Slow Cooker with radishes and green beans

  • 3 pound chuck roast 
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt 
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper 
  • 1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil 
  • 2 pounds radishes, halved 
  • 1 pound frozen green beans 
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder 
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 1 cup beef broth

Cooking instructions

  1. Coat the chuck roast in the salt and pepper. 
  2. Heat a large skillet over high heat and add the oil. When oil is hot, add the roast and sear on all sides until browned. 
  3. Transfer the roast to a slow cooker and add the radishes, green beans, onion powder, garlic powder, and beef broth. 
  4. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or low for 8 hours, or until the beef is easily shred with a fork. 
  5. Taste and add additional seasoning if desired.
