Ground beef lasagna

  • 1 ½ lbs of lean ground beef 
  • 6 oz. whole wheat lasagna noodles 
  • 2 ½ cups spaghetti sauce 
  • 2 cups fat free cottage cheese 
  • 9 oz. pkg. frozen spinach (cooked as directed and drained of excess water) 
  • 8 egg whites 
  • 8 oz. mushrooms 
  • 1 cup fat free mozzarella cheese

Cooking instructions

  1. Cook ground beef through 
  2. Boil noodles as directed by package 
  3. Spray a 9” x 13” pan with cooking spray and spread a few tablespoons of the spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the man 
  4. Mix the remaining ingredients, except for the mozzarella cheese 
  5. Lay down ½ of the noodles and top with half of the cottage cheese mixture
  6. Layer the rest of the noodles on top with the other half of the mixture 
  7. Top with mozzarella cheese 
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes
