LANCASTER, PA – The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. (PIAA) in conjunction with the Market Street Sports Group (MSSG) are proud to announce a corporate partnership agreement with the PA Beef Council, making beef the “Preferred Protein” of the PIAA State Championships for the 2022 - 2023 school year.

The partnership will assist PIAA in funding its overall operations, including the costs of conducting the post-season championships for twenty-one different boys’ and girls’ sports.

“The PIAA is pleased to partner with the PA Beef Council to connect them with our active student-athletes and their families, to encourage incorporation of beef, as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle.” stated PIAA COO Mark Byers.  “We are confident our relationship will be mutually beneficial for years to come.”

Additionally, the PA Beef Council will receive on-site recognition and activation at the 2022 -2023 PIAA Championships as well as exposure on www.piaa.org and in various print and electronic materials and messaging produced for these events by the PIAA.

“The PA Beef Council is pleased to support Pennsylvania interscholastic athletics and young people who are competing in high school sports across the state,” said Beth Stark RDN, LDN, Director of Channel Marketing and Nutrition Outreach. “We feel that amplifying beef’s positive nutrition story will help PA athletes beef up their performance!”
